Amazon announces WHSS role in Garner

Amazon has announced a vacancy for a full-time Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) specialist to serve as a designated representative at its facility in Garner. The announcement was updated on Amazon Jobs on February 13, 2025.

According to Amazon Jobs, the WHS specialist will be responsible for maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly metrics, ensuring compliance with corporate and legal standards, and conducting risk assessments. The role includes recommending risk mitigation measures, managing safety protocols, and working flexible shifts. Candidates are required to have at least one year of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) experience, a high school diploma or relevant degree, along with knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in safety, leadership experience, and certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
