Bank of America has unveiled "Golf with Us," an initiative aimed at engaging young people in the sport. This program offers free one-year memberships to Youth on Course for youths aged 6-18, allowing access to numerous courses in 97 markets at $5 or less per round. Enrollment is available until May 24, 2025.
David Tyrie, President of Marketing, Digital & Specialized Consumer Client Solutions at Bank of America, highlighted the benefits for young participants: “When kids get involved in sports, they learn first-hand about achieving their goals and develop lifelong skills that help them thrive... we’re helping grow the sport while also making a positive impact in our communities.”
In addition to access to the courses, the initiative will provide unique instructional opportunities in selected markets through free clinics featuring professional golfers and other sports personalities.
The program also grants a handicap index in the United States Golf Association’s GHIN system, aiding development and learning. Families interested can find more details at BofA.com/GolfwithUs.
Youth on Course CEO Adam Heieck emphasized the program's broader impact: “Golf has the power to shape young lives in incredible ways... This partnership is about more than just golf; it’s about opening doors and changing futures.”
The collaboration between Bank of America and Youth on Course aims to expand affordable golf access nationwide, already involving over 2,000 courses. The bank intends to promote the initiative with ads during major golfing events like the Masters Tournament, where Bank of America serves as Champion Partner.
Bank of America has a longstanding engagement in sports, supporting events like the Latin America Amateur Championship and partnering with iconic sports brands. The initiative complements its efforts to leverage sports for community impact and growth.
