Toyota has revealed its latest addition to the GR series, the GR Supra MkV Final Edition, during the Grand Prix of Long Beach. This new model is set to close the curtain on the fifth-generation production by offering substantial upgrades in performance and features.

The GR Supra, recognized for its motorsport pedigree, returns with refinements, thanks to the efforts of Toyota GAZOO Racing engineers and driver Akio Toyoda, also known as Morizo. This model integrates improvements from continuous annual enhancements over its current cycle, aiming to enhance performance both on the track and road.

The GR Supra MkV Final Edition will be available in 3.0 and 3.0 Premium grades, each powered by a 382-horsepower in-line six-cylinder turbocharged engine that provides 368 lb.-ft. of torque. Transmission options include both manual and automatic, allowing consumers a choice in driving dynamics.

Toyota introduces a series of development updates for the Final Edition. These include improved braking performance with larger Brembo brake discs, updated suspension, and chassis reinforcement to improve stability and road connection. The model also showcases aerodynamic enhancements that optimize balance and downforce, such as a carbon fiber rear spoiler and specific control maps to reduce understeer.

The exterior sees the addition of 19-inch matte black wheels and carbon fiber accents. Inside, the driver finds a cockpit that accentuates functionality and comfort, built with premium materials including Alcantara leather and red highlights.

The Final Edition draws some of its inspiration from Toyota's GR Supra GT4 EVO2 race car, and offers a GT4 style pack available in two exclusive matte colors, Burnout and Undercover. However, this package will not be available until Fall 2025.

Performance specs of the GR Supra remain competitive, with a 0-60 mph acceleration in 3.9 seconds for the automatic transmission and 4.2 seconds for the manual. Additionally, the model includes an Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), three different driving modes, and modern technological features like wireless Apple CarPlay and a JBL Premium Audio System in the Premium version.

Production of this final edition is expected to commence in Spring 2025, and will conclude by Spring 2026. As part of its offering, the GR Supra includes safety features such as Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Lane Departure Warning.

Toyota's commitment to motorsports continues as each GR model grants a membership to the National Auto Sport Association, providing owners with a range of benefits including high-performance driving events.
