North Carolina Courage captain Denise O’Sullivan is set to lead Ireland in their pursuit of qualifying for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025. The Irish team will face Wales in a two-legged playoff, with the winner securing a spot in the tournament in Switzerland. Ireland advanced to this stage after defeating Georgia 9-0 on aggregate, while Wales overcame Slovakia in extra time.
The matches are scheduled for November 29 in Cardiff and December 3 at Dublin's Aviva Stadium.
In addition to O'Sullivan, other Courage players will participate in international friendlies during this period. Aline Gomes has been selected for Brazil's squad for friendlies against Australia. Gomes has made an impressive start with Courage and earned her first senior cap for Brazil last year. Kerolin Nicoli was initially included but had to withdraw due to injury. Brazil will play Australia on November 28 and December 1.
Germany's Feli Rauch is also slated to compete internationally, facing Switzerland and Italy in friendly matches. Rauch contributed to Germany's bronze-medal finish at the Paris Olympics earlier this year and participated in recent friendlies against England and Australia. Germany's matches are scheduled for November 29 against Switzerland and December 2 against Italy.
