Apple Arcade is set to expand its offerings with the addition of five new games on May 1. Among these is "WHAT THE CLASH?", a fast-paced multiplayer game by indie developer Triband. The game is expected to bring a fresh mix of playful activities such as table tennis, archery, racing, and tag to the platform. "WHAT THE CLASH?" follows Triband’s earlier success with "WHAT THE CAR?", which was named Mobile Game of the Year at the 2024 D.I.C.E. Awards.
In addition to "WHAT THE CLASH?", players can experience "with My Buddy," a simulation game focused on bonding with virtual pets. Neilo Inc. offers a heartwarming experience where players nurture and care for unique dogs and cats, each with distinct personalities.
"LEGO Friends Heartlake Rush+" by StoryToys entices players with an endless racing game set in the lively Heartlake City. The game allows players to customize their vehicles while completing missions and collecting rewards.
Fans of word games will find "Words of Wonders: Search+" by Fugo Games compelling as it combines word search challenges with exploration of iconic landmarks. The game promises to test players’ vocabulary and strategic skills.
Imagineer’s "SUMI SUMI : Matching Puzzle+" features well-known San-X characters in a cute matching puzzle game. Players are invited to connect with characters like Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi through relaxing tap-to-match mechanics.
Alongside the new games, Apple Arcade will release updates to several existing titles, including "Hello Kitty Island Adventure" by Sunblink and "PGA TOUR Pro Golf" by HypGames. Triband is also adding new content to "WHAT THE CAR?" throughout April.
Apple Arcade subscriptions are available for $6.99 per month, including a one-month free trial, with the option for new device purchasers to receive three complimentary months. The service is part of various Apple One plans and offers a catalog of over 200 games accessible across Apple devices, although availability may vary based on hardware and software capabilities.
