North Carolina Environmental Management Commission meetings set for May 7-8

The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission is scheduled to meet on May 7-8. The meetings will take place in the Ground Floor Hearing Room of the Archdale Building in Raleigh. Public attendance is allowed both in-person and virtually.

The committee meetings are set for May 7, while the full commission meeting will occur on May 8. Information regarding the meetings, including agendas and supporting documents, will be available on the Commission’s website.

The Environmental Management Commission holds the responsibility of adopting rules aimed at the protection, preservation, and enhancement of the state's air and water resources. Their oversight extends to several divisions of the Department of Environmental Quality, such as the Divisions of Air Quality, Land Resources, Waste Management, and Water Resources.
