Governor announces reward for information on Brunswick County murder case

Today, Governor Josh Stein announced that the state is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for any information leading to the capture and arrest of Bryan Tyronne Montreal Goodwin. Goodwin, 31, is suspected of being involved in the murder of Jaquin Kymane Bethea, Jr., who was 33 at the time of his death.

The murder took place on August 6, 2024, when Bethea's body was discovered in an abandoned residence on Ridge Road in the Supply area of Brunswick County. Bethea had suffered two gunshot wounds, and investigators found numerous shell casings at the scene. Bryan Tyronne Montreal Goodwin has since been identified as a suspect in the case.
