Red Hat, a prominent provider of open-source solutions, has announced its collaboration with B2 Impact, a major debt collection company in Poland, to modernize its IT infrastructure using Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization. These solutions have helped B2 Impact improve operational efficiency, increase the speed of extract, transform, load (ETL) processes fourfold, and reduce the setup time for new environments to just one hour.

Bartłomiej Godzieszka, the Head of IT at B2 Impact S.A, stated, "We’ve chosen Red Hat to help prepare our technology ecosystem for a future based entirely on hybrid cloud and cloud-ready solutions." This initiative supports B2 Impact's management of nearly 2.5 million customers and over 4.1 million cases.

The financial sector's dynamics and regulatory requirements present significant challenges. B2 Impact sought a modern IT structure to enhance digital transformation, maintain EU regulatory compliance, such as NIS2 and DORA, and improve cybersecurity. The company upgraded its data centers and migrated environments to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization. It also adopted a microservices architecture to accelerate software development and operational efficiency.

Key benefits that B2 Impact gained from Red Hat include consolidating virtual machines and containerized applications onto a single platform and simplifying infrastructure monitoring. This streamlining reduced physical and virtual servers, lowering technological debt and infrastructure costs, while also enhancing cybersecurity through automated back-up systems and a zero-trust security model.

Net-o-logy partnered with B2 Impact on this project, supporting the company throughout its implementation. Lubomir Stojek, Red Hat's country manager for Poland, remarked, "Modernizing IT infrastructure is a necessity today, especially for the financial sector to ensure the highest level of security and compliance with regulations such as NIS2 and DORA. B2 Impact is on a journey to strengthen their systems and better manage risks."

B2 Impact plans to continue its modernization efforts with the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform to further improve security, integrations, and network automation. Godzieszka expressed the company's commitment to achieving full containerization of services by 2027, highlighting the sector's need for flexibility and innovation to stay competitive.

B2 Impact has successfully enhanced its IT operations and ongoing service delivery, reinforcing its position in Poland's advanced financial industry. The improvements enabled by Red Hat solutions are crucial to adapting to dynamic market changes and fulfilling high security and innovation standards.
