Jaedyn Shaw, a rising star of the United States Women's National Team, has officially joined North Carolina Courage. The club announced this significant move on Tuesday. With 17 NWSL regular season goal contributions and eight goals in 21 appearances for the national team, her transfer is generating buzz among fans and media as they anticipate her impact on both her career and the team's prospects for the 2025 NWSL season.

The "Attacking Third" crew expressed optimism about Shaw's potential growth at Courage. They discussed how she fits into the team's attacking framework alongside Manaka Matsukubo and Ashley Sanchez. Lisa Carlin commented, "We get to see Manaka with Ashley Sanchez again as they continue to build that partnership, but now you throw Jaedyn Shaw into the mix... Jaedyn Shaw is on the verge of cracking even more potential."

Darian Jenkins, a former player for Courage, described the combination of Shaw and Sanchez as dual No. 10s as "scary." She believes Coach Sean Nahas's style will enhance Shaw's development. Jenkins stated, "They like possession... I think Sean Nahas is the coach that is going to help push her to the next level."

Jeff Kassouf and Jason Anderson also noted Shaw's versatility across the front line in their reaction articles. Kassouf wrote in The Equalizer’s transfer tracker, "Shaw looks like she would be a false nine in North Carolina," while Anderson highlighted her skill set fitting well with Courage's system.

Shaw has been praised for her performances at both club and international levels. Sam Mewis introduced her on Friendlies by saying, "She is one of the most exciting young players in the world." USWNT Head Coach Emma Hayes praised Shaw after a friendly against Iceland, stating, "Her ability to create and score goals is second to none in this country."

As anticipation builds for the upcoming season, many are eager to see how Shaw will contribute to Courage Country.
