Town of Holly Springs issued the following announcement on Dec. 22.
Council Member Kristi Bennett announces she is resigning her seat on the Holly Springs Town Council.
She made the announcement at Tuesday’s council workshop, citing her family’s plan to move outside town limits as the reason for her departure.
Her last day will be December 20, at the final Town Council business meeting of the year.
According to the Town Attorney the Council is responsible for appointing her replacement.
Due to technical difficulties, the workshop was not recorded, however the minutes of the meeting will be posted on the website after they receive Council approval.
