Town of Apex issued the following announcement on Dec. 22.
While our vision is for Apex to be a place where all feel a sense of belonging, our town is not immune to those who do not share that vision.
Over the weekend, one of our public buildings was defaced with hateful graffiti. The Apex Police Department is currently investigating.
If you have any information that would be useful in their investigation, please reach out to the APD at 919-362-8661, or submit an anonymous tip by texting APEXPD to 847411.
We do not condone discriminatory behavior that compromises the safety of our residents and visitors.
Town leadership will continue to support programming that represents the diversity of our residents.
