TOWN OF CARY: Ritmo Latino, Early Voting to Impact Downtown Cary Traffic Saturday

Town of Cary issued the following announcement on May 4.

To support Diamante’s annual Festival Ritmo Latino on May 7, the Town of Cary will close Academy Street from Ambassador Loop to Chapel Hill Road, Adams Street near Academy Street and Ambassador Loop from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 7; a detour will be in place.

Herb Young Community Center will serve as one of the two early voting sites in Cary; voters can also cast ballots at the Cary Senior Center at 120 Maury Odell Place. Early Voting is open on Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Police will staff each end of the street closure to ensure safe pedestrian access to the festival, Herb Young Community Center for Early Voting, and the Cary train depot; drivers can access the festival or Herb Young Community Center for early voting using E. Cedar Street & E. Durham Road.
