TOWN OF CARY: Arbor Day Celebration March 11

Treeplanting

Town of Cary issued the following announcement on Mar. 10.

Bond Park Boathouse, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Explore the wonders of trees and forests at our annual Arbor Day Celebration! This free festival will feature tree identification walks, planting demonstrations, and Q&A with arborists, along with activities for kids, live music, and locally sourced food and drink.

Educational tables from local environmental groups will be onsite to engage with guests about organic farming, supporting songbirds, renewable energy, and many other ways to live green. Cary residents who reserved a native tree through the My Tree, Our Tree program can pick up their tree and planting kit at Bond Park's ballfield #1 after checking in at Buehler Shelter.

The celebration will be held sprinkle or shine. In the event of more severe inclement weather, the rain date will be Sunday, March 13 (view the Weather Delays/Cancellations page for up-to-date info).
