Town of Garner issued the following announcement on Mar. 7.
The Town of Garner's annual spring unprepared yard waste and special trash collection begins March 21 for some routes.
The schedule is as follows:

| Friday | Monday, March 28 |
| Tuesday | Monday, April 4 |
Please have all items out by 7 a.m. the Monday of your scheduled pickup.
Garner’s Public Works Department will be collecting unprepared yard debris (does not have to be bagged or bundled), excess trash and bulky items (couches, beds, tables, chairs, etc.). Please have your items separated by the following categories: yard waste, bulky waste and mattresses. Each category will be picked up by a separate truck.
We ask that residents please reach out to Public Works to schedule a mattress pickup. The department can be contacted at 919.772.7600 or at publicworksservicedesk@garnernc.gov.
Some things will not be collected as part of this special pickup—namely, commercial waste from tree companies and contractors, household appliances, tires, paint, hazardous waste or electronics (TVs, stereos, or computers).
* NOTE: You must live inside Garner town limits to receive this service.
