Media representatives are invited to attend a press conference on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the North Carolina National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters in Raleigh. The event will highlight a new collaboration between NC S.A.F.E. (Secure All Firearms Effectively) and the North Carolina National Guard's Integrated Primary Prevention unit.
NC S.A.F.E. has provided the North Carolina National Guard with 10,000 firearm locks to be distributed among soldiers and airmen across the state. This initiative aims to promote self-harm prevention and protect the families of North Carolina citizen-soldiers.
The joint press conference will take place on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 10 a.m., in the Media Room of the NC National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters. Representatives from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety and the North Carolina National Guard will be present.
Key speakers include Eddie Buffaloe Jr., Secretary of Public Safety for North Carolina; Brigadier General Charles Morrison of the North Carolina National Guard; and William Lassiter, Deputy Secretary for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention at the Department of Public Safety.
