Apple has announced that its personal intelligence system, Apple Intelligence, will be available in more languages and regions starting April. The expansion includes languages such as French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese. Additionally, localized English versions for Singapore and India will also be introduced.
These updates will be part of the iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4 releases. Developers have access to test these releases starting today. For the first time, users in the European Union with iPhones and iPads will experience Apple Intelligence features. In the United States, a new platform in U.S. English is being launched with Apple Vision Pro.
"Apple Intelligence marks an extraordinary step forward for privacy in AI," said a company spokesperson. The system is designed to prioritize user privacy through on-device processing for many models that power it. For larger model requests requiring additional processing power, Apple's Private Cloud Compute extends the security of iPhone into the cloud.
Future expansions of Apple Intelligence will include new features such as enhanced capabilities for Siri.
