Red Hat, a leading provider of open source solutions, has announced the winners of the Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards 2024 for Thailand. The awards recognized National ITMX Co., Ltd and Government Savings Bank for their innovative use of Red Hat solutions to meet evolving customer needs.
"Despite the uncertain economic conditions in 2024, we have seen the remarkable milestones achieved by our customers," said Marjet Andriesse, Senior Vice President and General Manager, APJC, Red Hat. "This year, we want to highlight the innovative strides of these organisations at the Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards 2024 as they leverage advanced technologies to drive business initiatives."
The awards celebrate organizations that have utilized open source technologies to drive transformation and innovation. These entities are acknowledged for managing infrastructure costs while meeting changing business demands. This year's theme was "Unlock what’s next", with awards given in categories such as Digital Transformation and Cloud-Native Development.
National ITMX Co., Ltd was honored for its role in advancing payment technology in Thailand. As part of its efforts to support Thailand's National e-Payment Roadmap, National ITMX has invested in a next-generation payment infrastructure using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Niwat Kanwaset from National ITMX stated that "Red Hat has allowed us to enhance scalability, efficiency, and integration speed in local and cross-border QR payments."
Government Savings Bank (GSB) was also recognized for its digital transformation journey aimed at reducing inequality and creating fairness in society. By working with Red Hat Open Innovation Labs, GSB developed a pilot project on lending services that streamlined loan application processes through their Online Lending Advisor platform and GSB MyMo mobile app. Mana Suangthonglang from GSB noted that "Using Red Hat OpenShift, we saw how an application could be developed and produced within three months."
The achievements of these organizations highlight the pivotal role of open source technology in fostering innovation across various sectors.
