Apple has announced the launch of its latest iPad Air, now equipped with the M3 chip. The new device promises significant performance improvements over previous models, boasting nearly double the speed of the iPad Air with M1 and up to 3.5 times faster than those using the A14 Bionic chip.

Bob Borchers, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, highlighted the appeal of the iPad Air: “iPad Air is so popular because of its unmatched combination of powerful performance, portability, and support for advanced accessories, all at an affordable price.” He emphasized that this new iteration aims to enhance versatility and value for users ranging from students to content creators.

The iPad Air with M3 is available in two sizes: an 11-inch model priced at $599 and a 13-inch version starting at $799. For educational purposes, prices are slightly reduced. Customers can pre-order these devices starting today with availability beginning on March 12.

Accompanying this release is a new Magic Keyboard designed specifically for the iPad Air. It features a larger trackpad and a function row for easy access to various controls. The keyboard attaches magnetically and includes a USB-C connector for charging.

In addition to hardware upgrades, Apple has integrated several software enhancements into iPadOS 18. These include advanced AI capabilities through Apple Intelligence and improved functionalities like natural language search in Photos and enhanced note-taking features.

Apple also introduced updates to its standard iPad line with double storage capacity and integration of the A16 chip, which offers increased performance while maintaining battery efficiency.

Both products reflect Apple's ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability as part of their Apple 2030 initiative. This includes using recycled materials in product construction and transitioning manufacturing processes towards renewable energy sources.

Pricing details reveal that customers can purchase these devices through Apple's online store or physical locations across multiple countries starting March 12. Additionally, financing options are available via Apple Card Monthly Installments with benefits such as Daily Cash back incentives.
