Governor Josh Stein announced that Syntec Precision Technology Corporation will establish its first North American plant in Vance County, creating 34 new jobs. The high-precision manufacturer plans to invest $8 million in the facility located in Henderson.

"Syntec has made a great decision to make its North American home in our state," stated Governor Stein. "Global manufacturers like Syntec need strong communities with a steady pipeline of talent and infrastructure to support their long-term growth strategies, and we’re proud that Vance County fits the bill."

Syntec specializes in engineering precision machining parts for various industries including hydraulic, life sciences, and transportation. Their expansion into the U.S. aims to bolster development and distribution of components for medical devices and orthopedic products.

Lei Wang and Bin Wang, owners of Syntec, expressed enthusiasm about the move: "We are deeply grateful to the State of North Carolina, Vance County, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, and the NC Community College System for their unwavering support... We look forward to a strong and prosperous future together in North Carolina."

N.C. Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley highlighted North Carolina's workforce capabilities: "North Carolina has the largest manufacturing workforce in the southeastern United States... Our ‘First in Talent’ workforce development system continues to provide a highly trained, dedicated workforce for dynamic manufacturers like Syntec."

The positions created by this investment offer an average annual wage of $46,985 compared to Vance County's average wage of $45,193. This could result in an annual payroll impact exceeding $1.5 million.

A grant from the One North Carolina Fund will provide $100,000 towards Syntec's relocation efforts. The fund supports local governments in attracting economic investments through job creation incentives.

"We welcome these new jobs to Vance County," said N.C. Senator Lisa S. Barnes. "Syntec is a fantastic addition to our existing supply chain."

Several partners have been instrumental in facilitating this project including Duke Energy and various local government bodies.
