Town of Rolesville issued the following announcement on Oct. 14.
The first annual Frank Eagles Day of Service will be held in Rolesville on Saturday, October 15th to honor and continue former Mayor Frank Eagles' legacy of leadership and service.
For those who did not know Frank, he was the former Mayor of Rolesville for many years following service as a Town Commissioner and Parks & Recreation Advisory Board member. In addition, Frank was active in many programs in Wake County serving youth, schools, churches, government, food pantries and food security among others.
Several volunteer opportunities will be going on throughout Rolesville and Veterans Service Officers from the Woodrow Wilson Disabled American Veterans Chapter will be in the Community Center located at Town Hall, 502 Southtown Circle, Rolesville to assist local Veterans with VA Benefits and other needs.
A book drive to benefit Wake County WAKE Up and Read program will be going on during the month of October and books can be dropped off at Rolesville Town Hall, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
