TOWN OF CARY: Cary Public Safety Day Sept. 17

Town of Cary issued the following announcement on Sept. 12.

Join us as we celebrate and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. Formerly known as Cary's Night Out, Public Safety Day brings together local agencies, activities, attractions, and vendors to help promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity. The Town of Cary Police Department will fill the streets of downtown Cary with free fun and food trucks. Come to S. Academy St. between Dry Ave. and E. Chatham St., by the new Downtown Park to meet Cary Police and Fire crews, Touch-a-Truck, activities and Food Trucks! Also, you can expect to see representatives from other local agencies, EMS, WakeMed, and more!

Additionally, we will have a disposal booth for you to drop off your unwanted, unused and expired prescription pills and patches. Collection site cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps, only pills or patches.

Parking is available at Cary Town Hall campus and throughout downtown Cary.
