The Wake County Board of Elections has approved 20 early voting sites for this fall's election.
“Our goal is always to maximize the opportunity for all voters to participate in every election,” Wake County Board of Elections Director Gary Sims said in a news release on June 26. “We feel confident that each of these sites will provide a convenient opportunity for Wake County’s voters to cast their ballots in the upcoming General Election.”
Early voting begins Thursday, Oct. 15 and continues to Saturday, Oct. 31, according to the news release. To view a full list of sites and hours of operation, visit WakeVotesEarly.com.
The Wake County Board of Elections establishes election precincts and voting sites; appoints and trains precinct officials; prepares and distributes ballots, and certifies ballots cast in elections and investigates any voting irregularities. The Wake County Board of Elections manages and maintains voter registration and voting records for more than 761,000 voters. It also provides public information on voters and elections.
