TOWN OF HOLLY SPRINGS: Town Buildings Closed to General Public

Were closed sign ss 1920

Town of Holly Springs issued the following announcement on Mar. 18.

Town Buildings Closed to General Public

In order to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Town of Holly Springs will close all town buildings to the public, including Town Hall and Public Works, starting Thursday, March 19 until further notice. Police and Fire stations are closed to the public for non-emergency visitors.

We want to assure residents that while our facilities are closed to the public, the work of government continues.  Critical services including police, fire, curbside garbage and recycling collections, water distribution, wastewater treatment and development services work will continue uninterrupted through the COVID-19 response.  Support services, including the 911 communications center, will operate as normal.

“Our number one priority is the health and safety of our residents and employees,” said Holly Springs Town Manager Randy Harrington.  “We will continue to make appropriate and educated decisions in order to best serve our community during this unprecedented period.”

Utility Payments

We encourage all residents to pay their utility bills online through our secure website using your account number.  If you cannot pay online, there are a few more options available.

Pay with a credit card through our automated phone system.  Call (919) 557-3925. Press option 1. Please have your account number ready.

Mail your payment to:

P.O. Box 8

Holly Springs, NC 27540

Drop off your payment with your bill in a sealed envelope labeled “utility payment” in our drive through secure payment drop box. This is located in the side parking lot next to Town Hall.  You can include a check or money order.  For those who must pay by cash, please include an email address so we can send you a receipt.

Public Meetings

All public meetings are canceled through the end of the month, including the next Planning Board meeting scheduled for March 24.  We will revisit our plans for April as we get more information from the federal, state and county government about the safety of public gatherings.

Development Services

All payments for development services that can’t be made online, must be made in the town’s drive through, secure payment drop box, located in the side parking lot next to Town Hall.  Please label your envelope with the proper Department and what the payment should be applied to.

If it is necessary to drop off development plans at Town Hall, there will be a box located at the rear entrance of the building for that purpose.  It will be checked multiple times a day.  Please DO NOT put any payments in this box, it is for plans only.

If you have any questions, please call Engineering at 919-557-3938, Planning & Zoning at (919) 557-3908 or Code Enforcement at 919-557-3915.

Outdoor Venues Still Open

In an effort to give people some outdoor and healthy food supply options, parks, greenways and the Holly Springs Farmers Market remain open.  We are taking additional steps to practice social distancing at the Farmers Market.  For more details, please visit our market’s Facebook page.
