The 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross has been unveiled, featuring new design elements and enhanced features. The vehicle will be available in both hybrid and gas-powered models, each with distinct front fascia designs. The hybrid model sports a modern, color-matched grille, while the gas model showcases a rugged look.
The interior of the Corolla Cross sees updates with a reconfigured console and a larger touchscreen option. A new exterior paint color, Cavalry Blue, is now available on select grades. Additionally, there are two new 18-inch alloy wheel options for customers to choose from.
The hybrid version is equipped with Toyota’s 5th Generation Hybrid Electric Vehicle system, offering standard all-wheel drive (AWD) and a combined output of 196 horsepower. It boasts an estimated fuel efficiency of 42 miles per gallon (MPG). The gas models provide up to an estimated 32 MPG.
“The versatile design of the Corolla Cross is spacious, modern, powerful and value packed,” states Toyota’s press release. Built on the TNGA-C platform, it offers car-like handling thanks to its chassis and suspension types.
Inside the vehicle, drivers can expect comfort features such as fabric-trimmed seating or SofTex-trimmed seats depending on the grade chosen. Technological enhancements include a standard 10.5-inch touchscreen on higher grades and wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across all models.
Safety remains a priority with all grades coming standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of safety technologies as well as nine airbags throughout the cabin.
The Corolla Cross Hybrid is powered by a combination of a 2.0-liter engine and three electric motors, achieving an eight-second acceleration from zero to sixty miles per hour. Gas models feature Dynamic Torque Control for improved AWD performance when needed.
Toyota continues its commitment to sustainability through its extensive range of electrified vehicles offered in the U.S., supported by nearly 1,500 dealerships nationwide.
