Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) has announced new executive appointments aimed at fostering growth and enhancing its focus on vehicle electrification. These organizational changes are effective immediately.

Stephen Brennan has been promoted from group vice president and executive engineering officer for the Production Engineering Division to senior vice president of Manufacturing Business Operations.

Susann Kazunas, currently serving as group vice president and president of Toyota Texas, has also been promoted. She will take on the role of group vice president and executive engineering officer for the Production Engineering Division, while continuing her leadership duties at Toyota Texas.

Toyota has established a significant presence in the United States with nearly 70 years of involvement, aiming to develop sustainable mobility solutions through its Toyota and Lexus brands. Employing close to 48,000 people, Toyota operates 11 manufacturing plants in the U.S., having produced over 35 million vehicles. Notably, Toyota is set to begin manufacturing automotive batteries at its North Carolina plant in spring 2025, aligning with its focus on electrified vehicles, for which it currently offers 32 different models.

The Toyota USA Foundation’s “Driving Possibilities” initiative underscores the company’s commitment to innovative educational programming in partnership with underserved communities near its U.S. operations.
