Toyota Motor North America has acknowledged the excellence of its North American suppliers for 2024 by presenting awards at its Annual Business Meeting held in Michigan. This event highlights outstanding performance in various critical areas among Toyota’s suppliers.
For the year 2024, nearly 60 suppliers were recognized across more than 20 categories, classified as Excellent and Superior, for their contributions. Among those honored, TG North America received the Total Exceptional Achievement for Manufacturing (TEAM) award. Additional awards were distributed for contributions to the production launches of Tacoma, Camry, and the 5th Generation Transaxle, and other areas such as quality performance, value improvement, and technology.
“Our suppliers’ immense efforts and perseverance were instrumental to our success in 2024,” said Ryan Grimm, group vice president of Purchasing Supplier Development at TMNA. “Their performance, despite many challenges, set the foundation for an exciting 2025. We will continue to service our customer through collaboration as we transition to the future of mobility together.”
Suppliers are evaluated annually based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and awards are granted to those who meet or surpass Toyota’s objectives. The number of awards is determined by an internal scoring system.
Toyota’s supplier recognition program underscores a commitment to building strong relationships centered on quality, innovation, and sustainability.
Toyota has been part of the North American automotive landscape for nearly 70 years, with a focus on sustainable, next-generation mobility through the Toyota and Lexus brands and over 1,800 dealerships. The company employs nearly 64,000 individuals in North America. Its upcoming North Carolina plant will start producing automotive batteries in spring 2025.
