The 2026 Toyota Sienna will feature a range of new standard features and updates across its various grades, according to an announcement from the company. The minivan, which has been on the market since 1998, will see enhancements to its LE, XLE, and XSE models as well as new color options.

For the LE grade, the audio system now includes eight speakers instead of six. Other additions include rear window shades, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink universal transceiver, a power rear liftgate with jam protection, windshield de-icer, black roof rails, and a one-year Remote Connect trial subscription.

The XLE and XSE grades receive more standard equipment such as outer mirror turn signals and roof rails. The XSE model upgrades its sound system to a JBL Premium Audio system with 12 speakers including subwoofer and amplifier.

A new Heavy Metal exterior paint option is available for several trims: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum. The Woodland Edition adds Ice Cap as an available exterior color and features a black Woodland badge on the rear liftgate.

The 2026 Sienna is expected to arrive at dealerships in January 2026 with a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $40,120 for the LE FWD model. This price does not include dealer processing or handling fees.

All Sienna models use Toyota’s hybrid powertrain—a 2.5L four-cylinder engine paired with an electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT). AWD is standard on Woodland Edition and Platinum grades; other trims offer either front-wheel drive or AWD options. The manufacturer estimates fuel economy at 36 MPG combined for FWD models and 35 MPG combined for AWD versions.

Selectable driving modes—EV, NORMAL, ECO, SPORT—allow drivers to adjust performance characteristics based on preference or conditions. The gas engine employs advanced technologies such as D4-S fuel injection and variable valve timing systems to improve efficiency.

Toyota’s Electronic On-Demand All Wheel Drive system powers the rear wheels using an independent electric motor rather than a traditional transfer case or driveshaft setup. This design aims to optimize traction while minimizing weight impact on fuel economy.

Inside the vehicle across all trims are features designed for family convenience such as available FridgeBox and vacuum (standard on Platinum), USB-C charging ports throughout the cabin plus Qi wireless phone charging on all grades. Touchscreen sizes vary by trim: LE gets an 8-inch display while higher trims have a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen running Toyota Audio Multimedia.

Seat materials differ by grade: leather-trimmed seats are found in Platinum and Limited models; SofTex trimmed seats are used in XSE, Woodland Edition, and XLE; woven fabric covers seats in the LE grade. Cabin finishes also vary depending on trim level.

Other notable features include customizable digital gauge clusters (available up to 12.3 inches), hands-free dual power sliding side doors (XLE), heated seating options depending on trim level, multiple climate control zones across most grades—and entertainment amenities like optional HD Entertainment Center with wireless headphones on upper trims.

The Sienna comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite that includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection; Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control; Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist; Lane Tracing Assist; Automatic High Beams; Road Sign Assist; Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert—all standard across every model year 2026 Sienna minivan.

Ten airbags are included along with additional safety systems such as Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Smart Stop Technology (SST), Electric Parking Brake (EPB), Advanced Rear Seat Reminder system—and more convenience-focused safety reminders like seatbelt alerts for rear passengers.

Warranty coverage consists of a basic three-year/36,000-mile warranty plus five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty alongside corrosion coverage without mileage limits. Hybrid components are covered under separate warranties extending up to ten years/150,000 miles for hybrid batteries specifically.

ToyotaCare provides two years or 25,000 miles of scheduled maintenance plus two years of roadside assistance regardless of mileage limits.

Toyota operates nearly 1,500 dealerships in the United States where it directly employs about 48,000 people who contribute to designing and assembling vehicles at eleven manufacturing plants nationwide—including its North Carolina facility that began producing automotive batteries for electrified vehicles in 2025.
