Raleigh home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Raleigh fell by $127,750 while total sales increased by 80700%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were 1,616 homes sold, with a median sale price of $270,000 - a 32.1% decrease over the $397,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Raleigh in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Raleigh for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,103, approximately 0.8% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2019.
