The State Water Infrastructure Authority will hold a meeting in Hendersonville and via teleconference on April 15 and April 16. The public can attend the meeting in person at the Kanuga Conference Center or listen online or by phone.

The authority’s meeting is important because it oversees federal and state funding for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This responsibility includes developing a master plan for state water infrastructure, recommending ways to make the best use of available loan and grant funds, and examining best practices in the field.

The sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, and from 9 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. on Thursday, April 16. Online access is available through Webex links provided by the authority for each day of the meeting.

Anyone wishing to comment during the public comment portion must register by 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, using an online registration form provided by the authority. Meeting-related documents will be made available before the event.
