The sessions are scheduled at the Beaufort Hotel, located at 2440 Lennoxville Road. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. on November 19 and resumes at 9 a.m. the following day.

A period for public input and comment is set for November 20 at 9:05 a.m., with each speaker allotted up to three minutes at the chair’s discretion. Members of the public can attend either in person or online.

The Coastal Resources Advisory Council (CRAC) will also meet prior to the commission meeting, gathering on November 19 at 10 a.m. at the same location.

Agenda items for the CRC meeting include consideration of variance requests from petitioners related to issues such as artificial turf within a buffer zone in Carolina Beach and sandbag alignment or size concerns in Ocean Isle Beach. Other topics cover an annual review of rules, updates on hurricane and storm activity for 2025, and discussions about threatened structures.

On November 20, the commission plans to consider approval of the Topsail Beach Management Plan, review timelines for periodic rule readoptions, and discuss proposed amendments concerning septic tanks seaward of vegetation lines as well as alternative sandbag designs intended to protect public roads. Updates on inlet hazard area boundaries, erosion rates, setbacks, legal matters, officer elections, and approval of future meeting dates are also scheduled.

A full agenda along with briefing materials is available on the CRC website. Agenda times may change as needed during proceedings.
