Red Hat has announced the recipients of its APAC Innovation Awards 2025 for India, recognizing four organizations for their use of open source technologies to drive innovation and transformation. The winners are Indian Bank, Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL), Unity Small Finance Bank, and State Bank of India (SBI).
Marjet Andriesse, senior vice president and general manager, APJC, Red Hat, commented on the significance of these awards: “The pace of change in Asia Pacific shows no signs of slowing, especially as AI becomes a core driver of business transformation. Indian Bank was recognized in the Cloud Native Development category. With over 140 million customers, the bank modernized its legacy systems by implementing India’s first private cloud infrastructure built by a public sector bank using Red Hat OpenShift Platform Plus. This move allowed Indian Bank to streamline development processes and accelerate digital service delivery.

Tata Teleservices Limited received awards in both Digital Transformation and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure categories for adopting an open hybrid cloud approach powered by Red Hat’s enterprise solutions. This strategy enabled TTSL to enhance scalability while maintaining flexibility across technology ecosystems.

Unity Small Finance Bank was awarded in the Digital Transformation category for building a flexible customer relationship management platform using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. This platform helped Unity expand its reach through digital channels while ensuring integration across various systems.

State Bank of India received recognition for its work in Digital Transformation and Cloud Native Development categories by modernizing its digital platforms using several Red Hat technologies including OpenShift and Ansible Automation Platform.
