Red Hat, a leading provider of open source solutions, has recognized three Latin American clients with honorable mentions as part of the Red Hat Innovation Awards. These awards highlight customers who use Red Hat solutions creatively to solve business challenges and drive organizational change.

This year, the companies honored are from the financial sector: Banorte in Mexico, BCI in Chile, and Banestes in Brazil.

Banorte has optimized its financial systems using Red Hat OpenShift to provide more automated and secure services. This integration reduced time and costs while improving service quality. The bank also developed a corporate training model based on DevSecOps to support technological transformation. As a result, Banorte improved digital service efficiency by reducing transaction response times by up to 35% and cutting down manual processes.

BCI’s IT Operations Management team worked with Red Hat to automate tasks and establish governance using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. This led to faster services, error reduction, and better resource management. The automation of processes like password resets resulted in significant time savings.

Banestes aimed to expand beyond EspĂrito Santo but faced technological limitations. Over 12 weeks, Red Hat helped improve its ticket registration process and transform its corporate culture. Using tools like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Banestes increased daily ticket issuance from 900,000 to over 540 million and reduced technical issue resolution times significantly.

The recognition of these companies underscores their innovative use of open source technologies to address business challenges effectively.
