Raleigh has been ranked third in the United States for resident satisfaction, according to a recent survey conducted by Gensler and reported by Axios. The survey included approximately 13,500 residents from 27 cities nationwide.

The recognition aligns with results from the City of Raleigh’s 2024 Community Survey, where residents rated aspects such as quality of life, neighborhood safety, community amenities, and overall livability as either excellent or good.

These findings indicate that people in Raleigh feel connected and supported. According to the release, “Cities with high resident satisfaction tend to attract and retain talent more effectively, strengthening their appeal for business investment and long-term growth.” It also states, “Raleigh’s strong performance reinforces Wake County’s standing as a vibrant, competitive, and desirable location for both companies and workforce.”

This national ranking may influence economic development efforts by making Raleigh more attractive to potential businesses and employees seeking positive living conditions.
