The Raleigh Market at the State Fairgrounds will reopen on Saturday, November 8, following a month-long closure during the N.C. State Fair. The market will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, as is customary outside of October when the annual fair takes place.

Due to ongoing roof repairs, the indoor shops located in the Commercial and Education Buildings will remain closed until late spring. Some vendors who typically sell inside will move their operations outdoors or use storage pods during construction. Kidds Frames, for example, will temporarily relocate to the south lobby of Dorton Arena. Other vendors plan to return once renovations are complete in the spring. Outdoor vendor spaces will continue without interruption.

The Raleigh Market is recognized as one of the largest flea markets in the Southeast and features a variety of goods such as antiques, handicrafts, furniture, and homemade items. Parking at the event remains free for visitors. Additional details about the market can be found at www.theraleighmarket.com.

This weekend also brings several other events to the state fairgrounds: The 36th Annual Capital Area Handbell Festival takes place in the Scott Building on Friday and Saturday; the Neuse River Valley MRRC Train Show is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in the Graham Building; and visitors can view the Magnificent Mums exhibit in the Martin Building over both days. A full schedule of fairground events is available at www.ncagr.gov/divisions/ncstatefair/events.
