The Raleigh Market will close to the public at 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, as preparations begin for the upcoming N.C. State Fair. The closure is part of the annual transition period that allows fair organizers and vendors to set up for the event.

Access to the North Carolina State Fairgrounds will be restricted starting Monday, September 29. Only individuals with credentials or special access passes issued by the N.C. State Fair—such as employees, vendors, exhibitors, and accredited members of the news media—will be permitted entry during this time.

The market is scheduled to reopen at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 8. However, indoor shops will remain closed due to a roofing project that is expected to last until late spring.

The 2025 N.C. State Fair will take place from October 16 through October 26 at the fairgrounds in Raleigh. The event features entertainment options, family activities, competitions, vendors, animal exhibits, rides, and food offerings typical of state fairs across North Carolina. Additional information about the fair can be found at www.ncstatefair.org or through its social media channels @ncstatefair on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and TikTok.

The Raleigh Market operates every weekend except during October when it closes for fair preparations. It hosts hundreds of indoor and outdoor vendors selling vintage items, collectibles, antiques and handcrafted goods.
