The North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR) has opened a public comment period on proposed changes to the action plan for the use of federal disaster recovery funds in eastern North Carolina. The amendment concerns Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allocated for Hurricane Florence recovery.
The proposed amendment, titled Substantial Action Plan Amendment 10, includes updates to previously approved programs funded by HUD that support long-term recovery efforts following storm damage in the region. NCORR is encouraging members of the public to review the draft amendment and provide feedback.
Public comments can be submitted via email or by mailing them to NCORR at P.O. Box 110465, Durham, NC, 27709. The deadline for submitting comments is 5 p.m. on August 31, 2025.
In addition to overseeing long-term disaster recovery, NCORR manages other initiatives focused on community development and affordable housing across North Carolina.
