On Tuesday, March 25, former Rolesville High School standout Kevin Jones’ current college team, the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, won 5-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers.
The game took place at Bill Brooks Field. This was their first matchup against the Buccaneers this season.
The Seahawks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 6 p.m. at Bill Brooks Field against North Carolina A&T Aggies.
First Lady Anna Stein welcomed fellow First Ladies from Oklahoma and North Dakota at a driver’s license restoration clinic held at Western Correctional Center for Women. The event focused on helping incarcerated women regain their licenses before reentry into society. Legal support was provided by Pisgah Legal Services staff and Duke Law School students.
Governor Josh Stein joined other governors urging Congress to take back control over tariff decisions after a Supreme Court ruling limited presidential powers. Stein cited rising costs for families and businesses due to current tariff policies.
Governor Josh Stein honored 12 individuals with The Order of the Long Leaf Pine on Mar. 10 for their exceptional service to North Carolina. Each recipient was recognized for significant contributions in education, public service, or community leadership.
