The North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR) is requesting public feedback on proposed amendments to its action plan for the use of federal mitigation funds received after hurricanes Matthew and Florence. The suggested changes affect timelines and funding for programs such as affordable housing, homeownership assistance, infrastructure projects, code enforcement support, and a specific project in Robeson County.
The period for submitting comments starts on January 30 and ends on March 2. Residents can review the current mitigation action plan along with the draft of Substantial Action Plan Amendment 8 online. Feedback may be sent via email—using “MIT-SAPA 8” in the subject line—or by mail to NCORR Public Comments at P.O. Box 110465, Durham, NC 27709.
NCORR also oversees a long-term homeowner recovery program that supports families in eastern North Carolina who were affected by hurricanes Matthew and Florence.
