The North Carolina Oil and Gas Commission is set to convene in Raleigh on May 6, 2025, beginning at 9 a.m. This meeting will take place in the Ground Floor Hearing Room of the Archdale Building located at 512 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC, 27604. The public has the option to attend the meeting in person or participate remotely via computer or phone.

The primary responsibility of the Oil and Gas Commission includes the adoption of rules related to oil and gas exploration in North Carolina. The Commission has authority over the spacing regulations for wells and the establishment of drilling areas, as well as the limitation of oil and gas production from exploration activities.

The meeting represents a regular gathering for the Commission to discuss ongoing regulatory and operational matters related to the state’s oil and gas industries.
