The North Carolina Mining Commission is scheduled to hold its regular quarterly meeting on October 14 in Raleigh. The session will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ground Floor Hearing Room of the Archdale Building, located at 512 N. Salisbury Street.

Members of the public have the option to attend the meeting either in person or remotely via computer or phone. Information about how to join online, including a WebEx link and access codes, is available on the commission’s website ahead of the meeting.

The agenda and supporting documents are also posted prior to each session for public review. The North Carolina Mining Commission has responsibilities that include setting rules for managing mining resources across the state and serving as an advisory body to the Governor. Additionally, it develops regulations related to federal aid programs.
