The North Carolina Mining Commission will hold its regular quarterly meeting at 1 p.m. on May 12 in Raleigh, according to a May 4 announcement.

The meeting is open to the public, who may attend either in person or online via Webex. The agenda and supporting documents are available on the Commission website prior to the meeting.

The session will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Ground Floor Hearing Room of the Archdale Building at 512 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC, with remote access provided through a Webex link using access code 2430 754 5627 and password MC_Q2_Att. According to information provided by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, among its duties, the North Carolina Mining Commission sets rules for administering mining resources across the state. The commission also acts as an advisory body to the Governor and creates rules for granting aid provided by federal authorities.
