The North Carolina Mining Commission and its rules committee are set to convene for meetings next month, which will be accessible to the public both in Raleigh and online.

The Mining Rules Committee will hold its meeting at 2 p.m. on July 1, 2025, via WebEx. For those interested in attending virtually, the meeting ID is 2427 900 7744 with the passcode “RulesComm_Public.” Alternatively, participants can join by phone using the access code 2427 900 7744 and passcode 78537267. An in-person listening station will also be available at the Fifth Floor Conference Room of the Archdale Building in Raleigh for those unable to attend online.

Following this, the North Carolina Mining Commission itself will meet at noon on July 8, 2025. This session can be attended either in person at the Ground Floor Hearing Room of the Archdale Building located at 512 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh or online through a WebEx Meeting with ID: 2420 150 0869 and passcode “MC_July2025.” Phone attendees can use access code: 2420 150 0869 with passcode: 62058593.

The North Carolina Mining Commission comprises five voting members and two non-voting members. The commission’s responsibilities include setting rules for managing mining resources within the state. It serves as an advisory body to the Governor and formulates regulations for federal aid distribution.
