The North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) has introduced a new video series aimed at supporting agritourism businesses throughout the state. The four-part series provides professional advice on marketing, strategic planning, the use of artificial intelligence in farm promotion, and strategies to prepare destinations for visitors.

“Agritourism activities introduce people to North Carolina’s rich agricultural traditions while offering fun on-farm activities that contribute to the success of these family farms,” said Erica Calderon, agritourism marketing specialist at NCDA&CS. “This series provides agritourism operations with tools and strategies that will help them connect with potential visitors.”

The project is part of the Visit NC Farms initiative, which seeks to link residents and tourists with local farms, fisheries, farmers markets, you-pick experiences, farm stays, tours, trails, and agricultural events. The videos are available for free online at Industry Resources – Visit NC Farms. The department encourages both agritourism operators and tourism professionals to view and share the content.

Visit NC Farms is a collaborative effort between the N.C. Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, local tourism leaders, and farm businesses. Its goal is to strengthen connections between consumers and food producers in North Carolina. More information can be found at www.visitncfarms.com.
