N.C. Mining Commission Rules Committee to meet March 27

The North Carolina Mining Commission Rules Committee will hold a meeting at 11 a.m. on March 27, 2026, using the WebEx online platform. An in-person listening station will also be available for those unable to attend virtually, located in the Fifth Floor Conference Room at the Archdale Building in Raleigh.

This meeting is part of the committee’s ongoing responsibilities to oversee and guide mining regulations within North Carolina. The commission consists of five voting members and two non-voting members.

The agenda and other relevant materials for the meeting are expected to be posted online prior to its start, allowing participants and interested parties access to necessary information.

The North Carolina Mining Commission is responsible for setting rules related to the administration of mining resources across the state. In addition, it serves as an advisory body to the Governor and develops guidelines for distributing aid provided by federal authorities.
