The N.C. Coastal Resources Commission Science Panel will hold a meeting on May 27 at the Courtyard New Bern Riverfront in New Bern to continue its discussion of a proposed report on hardened coastal structures.

The meeting is open to the public, who may attend either in person or online. The panel provides scientific data and recommendations to the commission regarding coastal topics.

According to the announcement, “Members of the public may attend in-person or join the meeting online.” The event will take place at noon at 218 E. Front Street, New Bern, and there is an option for participants to join remotely.

The CRC Science Panel’s work focuses on evaluating issues related to North Carolina’s coastline and offering guidance based on current research and analysis. These meetings are part of ongoing efforts by state agencies to involve experts and stakeholders in discussions about managing environmental challenges along the coast.
