The North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR) will hold a virtual public meeting for the CDBG-Mitigation Citizen Advisory Committee on December 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to the public, and those interested in attending can view the agenda and register prior to the meeting.

The Citizen Advisory Committee consists of 15 members who were selected by NCORR. The committee was created to promote transparency in how Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) funds are used, gather public input on proposed mitigation activities, and provide a forum for discussion about CDBG-MIT projects and programs. Members include individuals from regions in North Carolina that have been identified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as being most impacted by hurricanes Matthew or Florence, along with representatives who have relevant technical or industry expertise.

NCORR operates as part of the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. The division manages programs focused on disaster recovery, community development, and affordable housing across eastern North Carolina.
