Lenovo has introduced new Chromebook devices aimed at supporting teaching and learning, announced at the Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC) 2026. The company will also showcase these products at Bett UK 2026, where it plans to discuss topics such as AI literacy, safety, device durability, and repairability with education professionals.

Lenovo is recognized as a leading supplier of laptops, desktops, infrastructure, and smart devices for educational institutions worldwide. The company’s approach centers on providing AI-enabled solutions that personalize learning experiences while protecting data and preparing students for future careers.

“The workforce of the future requires smarter technology today,” said Chris Babson, General Manager of Commercial Education Portfolio at Lenovo. “From our Chromebook portfolio to our full stack of technology solutions from the pocket to the cloud, Lenovo places technology in the hands of learners and teachers to help them build stronger learning outcomes.”

The latest additions to Lenovo’s Chromebook lineup include the Lenovo Chromebook 100e Gen 5, Lenovo Chromebook 500e 2-in-1 Gen 5, Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14, and Lenovo Chromebook Plus 15. These devices are designed for use in classrooms and other educational settings. They offer features such as AI-enabled learning tools, enhanced security measures, improved device management capabilities, and increased durability.

“Lenovo devices with Google ChromeOS help school systems maintain future-proofed fleets that are more secure and easier to deploy, empowering teachers, staff, and students with a more agile experience through powerful applications and AI capabilities,” said Benny Zhang, General Manager of the Chromebook Business at Lenovo.

The Lenovo Chromebook 100e Gen 5 is targeted toward K-12 students. It offers options for Intel or MediaTek processors and comes in both touch and non-touch display variants (11.6” or 12.2”). The device is built to be durable against drops and spills with MIL-SPEC testing standards. It also includes an improved battery (50WHr), Wi-Fi 7/4G LTE connectivity options, dual USB-C ports for peripherals, customer-replaceable unit components for easier repairs, and a spill-resistant keyboard.

For students needing greater flexibility in their devices, the Lenovo Chromebook 500e 2-in-1 Gen 5 provides convertible functionality with Intel or MediaTek processor choices. Available in two touch display sizes within a streamlined chassis design (11.6” or 12.2”), it features a USI 2.0 stylus that can be stored inside the device when not in use. Additional highlights include dual USB-C ports, improved serviceability via CRU components, Wi-Fi 7 support for faster connectivity speeds, up to a claimed sixteen hours of battery life on select models when unplugged—suitable for mobile learners—and resistance to everyday wear.

The Lenovo Chromebook Plus i (14”,11) is powered by an Intel Core processor N3558 and aims to enhance productivity for teachers and administrators with features like an all-day battery life starting at approximately three pounds weight-wise for portability; a high screen-to-body ratio; Waves MAXX Audio; a five-megapixel camera with privacy shutter; easy access to Google AI tools; sustainability-focused repairability; plus multiple configuration options.

A larger model—the recently announced Lenovo Chromebook Plus i (15”,10)—features Google AI integration via an Intel Core i3 processor along with consumer or education-targeted versions offering a fifteen-inch display up to eleven hours’ battery life per charge according to manufacturer claims.

To assist IT teams managing large fleets of devices across schools or districts,Lenovo Device Orchestration now supports ChromeOS systems through integration with Google Admin Console connectors. This solution enables centralized monitoring so administrators can view detailed data about each device—including telemetry such as last check-in time or battery health—within one interface dedicated specifically to Chrome Management tasks.IT staff can filter this information by relevant metrics which helps improve fleet performance while reducing downtime. These capabilities aim to boost productivity among both staff members and students by minimizing technical disruptions.

Those interested in further details about these products can visit Lenovo’s booth at FETC (Booth 900) or Stand NH20 during Bett UK.
