Lenovo and Motorola played a key role in the FIFAe Finals 25, which took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from December 10 to 19, 2025. The event is considered the leading football esports competition globally, with top players competing in eFootball Console, eFootball Mobile, and Rocket League.
Throughout the tournament, Lenovo Legion gaming devices and Motorola smartphones were used by both athletes and staff. Specifically, Lenovo’s Legion Tower 7i desktops, gaming monitors, mice, keyboards, accessories, and other devices powered all gameplay and operations at the event. The Rocket League matches were played exclusively on Motorola smartphones. Fans attending the event had opportunities to try out Lenovo and Motorola products at an on-site booth.
This collaboration is part of Lenovo’s broader partnership with FIFA. Lenovo serves as the Official Technology Partner for upcoming events such as the FIFA World Cup 2026 and FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027. As part of this role, Lenovo provides advanced technology solutions—including AI-driven services and data center infrastructure—to support operations, broadcasting needs, and fan engagement worldwide.
Volker Düring, Vice President of PC Gaming Business at Lenovo stated: “Lenovo’s Legion has long been at the cutting edge of gaming technology and the FIFAe World Cup provided us with the perfect opportunity to deliver on the biggest possible stage. Legion is the preferred gaming device for so many of the world’s elite gamers, who rely on Legion to deliver the very best time and time again. Lenovo also showcased its hologram technology during FIFAe Finals 25. These AI-powered holograms offered interactive experiences for fans such as taking selfies with virtual representations of figures like FIFA President Gianni Infantino or members of Saudi Arabia’s egames team. Holograms provided event information and promoted merchandise sales through immersive displays.
Asia Sheikh, Director & CTO for Technology & AI Innovation at Lenovo commented: “This solution combines advanced volumetric hologram technology with Lenovo’s AI to deliver immersive, human-like interactions. Its adaptability allows operators to customize experiences instantly, making it ideal for stadiums, airports, healthcare facilities, and other Smart Spaces. With Lenovo holograms, venues can offer personalized digital assistance, richer fan engagement, and seamless intelligent services—elevating how people connect with spaces and brands.”
Six distinct hologram installations were featured during this year’s finals in Riyadh.
