FIFA and Lenovo have announced the launch of Football AI Pro, an artificial intelligence-powered knowledge assistant designed to provide data analytics and performance insights to coaches, players, and analysts at the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. The announcement was made during Lenovo’s Tech World @ CES 2026 event in Las Vegas, where Lenovo Chairman and CEO Yuanqing Yang appeared alongside FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Football AI Pro has been developed using Lenovo’s AI Factory platform in collaboration with FIFA experts. The tool is intended to analyze millions of data points across more than 2,000 metrics, offering real-time insights through video clips and 3D avatars. Analysts will be able to compare team patterns visually, coaches can simulate tactical changes against opponents, and players receive personalized match analysis.
Yuanqing Yang said: “FIFA World Cup 26, powered by Lenovo AI, will be the most technologically advanced in history. We are providing complete IT solutions, enhancing the delivery and experience of the tournament at every level. Football AI Pro demonstrates Smarter Football for All; AI has the power to provide universal access to information while protecting personal privacy and data security. Football AI Pro will be a gamechanger and we can’t wait to see it used at FIFA World Cup 26.”
Gianni Infantino added: “The FIFA World Cup in 2026 is going to be the greatest show ever on planet Earth. Seven million people will attend the 104 matches – 104 Super Bowls – dozens of millions of fans will travel to North America to feel the FIFA World Cup vibe, six billion people will watch it from home, and the world will stand still. FIFA and Lenovo are fully embracing digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence to support teams and match officials, while also providing a new mind-blowing experience to fans worldwide. With Football AI Pro, we will democratize access to data by providing the most complete set of football analytics to all competing teams and soon to fans as well. But of course, this is just the beginning, so fans should stay tuned for more exciting developments with Football AI, and other innovations, as FIFA and Lenovo create unforgettable experiences in the months and years ahead.”
Ken Wong, Executive Vice President and President of Solutions & Services Group at Lenovo commented: “FIFA is one of the world’s most data-rich sports organizations in the world, capturing thousands of matches, players, and teams across the globe. Their football data spans team rosters, tracking data, player performance, team statistics, match highlights, tactical analysis and historic trends — encompassing petabytes of data in total. Mining and making sense of it all is a huge challenge. Football AI Pro addresses that need. It is a customized enterprise knowledge assistant that orchestrates a team of intelligent agents to search FIFA’s data and surface the right information — fast.”
Lenovo serves as the Official Technology Partner for FIFA World Cup 2026.
