Lenovo has joined the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) AI Skills Coalition, an initiative led in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The coalition aims to address gaps in artificial intelligence skills and digital literacy around the world.

The ITU AI Skills Coalition is a collaborative effort involving governments, industry leaders, and academic institutions. Its focus is on advancing AI education and supporting progress toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The coalition seeks to make AI learning more accessible and inclusive by providing resources that reach youth, women, and underserved communities in multiple languages.

According to Lenovo, this move aligns with its ongoing “Smarter AI for All” commitment. The company stated: “Beyond building powerful AI systems, Lenovo believes that empowering people with AI literacy is a cornerstone of responsible innovation.”

Lenovo also supports global education initiatives and works with academic partners to promote digital skills. Through these efforts, Lenovo aims to help individuals, businesses, and communities use artificial intelligence for productivity gains, innovation, and greater access to technology.
